Description

Join Manitowish Waters Historical Society historian Kay Krans on a two-hour pontoon tour of Spider and Island lakes, which will depart from the Blue Bayou. Discover the Indigenous People cultural networks, logging camps, railroad landing, Ojibwa sugar bush, ricing areas, mysteries, unique residents, homesteads, early resorts and businesses. While traveling along the shores of Island and Spider lakes, participants will view many unique historic sites that will be supplemented with historic images and documents. Space is limited, so please register early; $60 ($55 for members of the NLDC or MWHS). Register at the North Lakeland Discovery Center (www.discoverycenter.net).
